«I am a Professional» is a national educational new-form competition for students from different fields: Engineering, Humanities, and Science. The tasks will be developed by the experts from Russia’s top universities and professionals from leading business companies. The «I am a Professional» has its practical focus. The winners will receive cash prize, and privileges upon admission to Master’s or PhD’s degrees, and be able to find more career opportunities.
In 2018/2019 academic year, Tomsk State University supervises several tracks: “Biotechnologies”, “Psychology”, “Ecology”, and “Geology”.
The undergraduate, graduate students and recent graduates are welcome to participate in the competition. The tuition fee is free.
Registration – September 26, 2018 – November 22, 2018
You should fill out a form on the contest website. You can choose several directions. By the beginning of the registration, the demo tasks will be available.
Selection Round – November 24 – December 9, 2018
The contest for the Selection round will be on-line. The results will be announced in the end of December. If you will pass a Selection Round, then you will be able to participate in the Final one.
Winter Schools – End of January – February, 2019
If you will show good results during the Selection round, you will be invited to attend Winter Schools according to your field of study. You will be required to apply and write a motivation letter. The winter schools will take place in the larger Russian Universities. The classes will be taught by the University’s lecturers and business professionals.
Final Round – February, 2019
This round will be held on-site Russia’s largest universities. Before, you will be required to choose a testing location to participate in the contest.
March – April, 2019
The results will be announced on the competition website. You can receive your works appraised and commented by the Selection Committee, if successful, you will receive an invitation to the Awards Ceremony.
